Employment Support Specialist

This mobile role involves traveling between our employer partner's four locations in Northeast Philadelphia, West Philadelphia, Aston, and Allentown, as well as any future employer sites. As an onsite job coach, you will work closely with employees with disabilities, supporting them in navigating their job responsibilities, adapting to workplace culture, and overcoming any challenges they face. You’ll be their champion and resource—helping them gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

Some Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site supported employment services to assist individuals in the InVEST Project as they are hired, onboarded, and trained in permanent positions.
- Collaborate with the Individualized Resource Team (IRT) to develop and implement customized support for participants.
- Provide job coaching to help participants acclimate to their worksite, complete job tasks, and develop workplace etiquette.
- Identify and implement accommodations, assistive technology, and job aids tailored to individual needs.
- Promote universal design and develop natural supports based on each participant’s abilities.
- Attend IRT meetings and track participant progress until job stability is achieved.
- Collect data and maintain required records to monitor progress and report outcomes for the InVEST Project.
- Use digital tools for remote coaching to support on-the-job success.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders, including employers, team members, and families, to ensure effective communication and resolve challenges.
- Coordinate training, accommodations, and services, and ensure participants’ needs are met while promoting a supportive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 3 years’ experience in Supported Employment services required
- Driver’s License and a clean driving record required
- Must have access to reliable transportation for example a personal vehicle
- Candidates must be ACRE certified OR have their Certified Employment Support Professional accreditation from APSE.
- Experience in Customized Employment and Self-Employment supports required
- Have and maintain numerous business and community contacts.
Employer Inclusion Liaison

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Employer Inclusion Liaison to support competitive, integrated employment for individuals with disabilities, particularly those employed in or considering subminimum wage positions. This is a mobile role where you will be embedded with our business partner and work closely with them at their four locations: Northeast Philadelphia, West Philadelphia, Aston, and Allentown.
As part of our commitment to advancing Employment First, the Employer Inclusion Liaison will help identify and address barriers that hinder access and inclusion for job seekers with disabilities. You will act as a consultant to our business partner as well as outreach for future opportunities, offering guidance on creating a more accessible and inclusive workplace, and providing hands-on support as an onsite job coach to individuals with disabilities.
This position is ideal for a leader who is adaptable, solution-oriented, and passionate about creating inclusive workplaces while driving meaningful change in employment practices for individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support at the Designated Employer’s (DE) facility, assisting in making business practices accessible to individuals with disabilities and promoting DE’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts.
- Work with the DE to deliver pre-planning, onboarding, sensitivity training for co-workers, and problem resolution.
- Collaborate daily with the onsite Employment Support Specialist to manage the day-to-day management of the non-traditional employment support program.
- Coordinate job exploration activities such as worksite tours, job shadows, and Community-Based Work Assessments (CBWAs).
- Assist in identifying potential job openings and customized positions, particularly for InVEST participants.
- Review DE’s recruitment, application, and onboarding processes to ensure accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
- Provide ADA accessibility assessments for DE’s physical locations and recommend Universal Design strategies to enhance efficiency and accessibility.
- Facilitate the coordination of accommodations for InVEST Project participants and maintain ongoing communication with DE, OVR, and other team members.
- Lead the delivery of Disability Awareness Training to DE’s employees.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Employment Support Specialists, advocacy groups, and school districts, to enhance employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records, manage service tracking, and provide monthly reports to support Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data.
Qualifications:
